Our special area of interest is the law pertaining to Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, Probate, and the Estates of incapable or deceased persons. Because of this special interest, we strive to remain always on top of the latest developments in this area of the law.
Our years of experience prior to this, in many other areas of the law from divorce to criminal law to business law, gave us a depth of understanding now brought to the Wills and Estates field. We have been in practice in Ontario since 1978, and incorporate a law practice first started in Midland, Ontario in 1920.
We handle all types of Will and Estates cases, and have assisted clients involved with Wills dealing with property and heirs from one end of Canada to the other, and in Europe, Africa and Florida.
We handle probate of Wills, which is the formal court process to validate a Will (see our "Legal Terminology" page for a definition).
We handle contested Wills, which may mean defending a valid Will from an attack by disappointed heirs.
We challenge questionable Wills, on behalf of the heirs, whose rights must be protected.
We handle legal matters with Powers of Attorney, advising the attorney, the person carrying out this special duty and, on the other side of the coin, we will diligently represent the rights of the incapable person whose affairs are being managed under Power of Attorney.
We prepare Wills, Powers of Attorney, Trusts, and other documents required to carry out your estate plans.
We handle cases on behalf of traditional couples, same-sex couples, single parents, older persons, second marriages, families, heirs, executors, business people, and retired people.
No matter what it is, we understand that your case is the most important thing to you and we strive always to treat your case with the attention it needs and to treat you with the respect you deserve, no matter how large or small the problem may be.
